Historian. Medievalist. Academic Editor.

Female professor with blurred floral background.

I am a historian of early medieval ethnic and religious identities with a passion for bringing clarity to words and ideas.

As a researcher, I have published six peer-reviewed articles and chapters, a monograph, and a co-edited volume on how ethnic and religious identities evolved in sixth- to tenth-century Iberia and France.

As a professor, I teach students to understand the historical context for developments across ancient and medieval Europe, the Iberian peninsula to the present day, and the premodern world generally.

As an editor, I apply my keen eye for detail to helping historians, classicists, and medievalists make their ideas shine.
